Trends for Spring

Spring appears to have finally arrived, offering a welcome reprieve from all our bulky winterwear. Stay on trend with vivid colour and patterns, and what many are calling the “2013 minimalism” – a looser, more flowing and natural take on the less-is-more theme from the thirties.

Another trend this season is the focus on natural and soft femininity. Invest in flesh tones, work some creamier colours into your wardrobe, and go for light and airy fabrics on the days when you don’t have to reach for your umbrella and boots.

For sustainable style, of course, look no further than AYLA’s ‘Daydream Sheer Tube Dress’, which will have you looking lovely in its subtle rosy hues. You’ll also feel great knowing that it’s made from 100% recycled fabrics.

Alternatively, add a bit of natural colour to your work outfit, and accessorize with one of the beautiful organic silk scarves from the TAMMACHAT collection. The Brulee Caramel, Spring Blossoms, and Summer Harvest are all perfect examples of this season’s soft colour palette, and the delicate tassel edges will add a stylish, feminine vibe to your look.

For a night out, why not try BAZANT’s Triple Circle Waterfall Earrings, made from hand-cut and polished sterling silver. The brushed finish and soft sheen of the silver will give an understated glow to any evening outfit.

It’s time to say “out with the old, and in with the new”, and bring in some of this season’s hottest trends to give your wardrobe a boost. With spring peeking through the clouds, there couldn’t be a better time to do it.
